 CORRECTIVE AND PREVENTIVE ACTIONS

The Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) module is used to record and track measures taken to correct and/or prevent quality failures. You create a Corrective Action Report (CAR) and document the reason, investigation, containment, root cause, corrective action, verification, prevention and approval.

 

Corrective Action Reports help you satisfy international quality specification requirements to identify, correct and, where practicable, prevent adverse quality conditions. The CAPA module can be a tool for reporting to management the results of corrective and preventive efforts.

Corrective Actions can be linked to Nonconformances and Complaints.

Note: QCBD is designed for manufacturing firms and, in general, is not suitable for service organizations such as hospitals and doctor's offices, police and fire departments, military and other public service organizations.

There are three categories of Corrective Actions;

Process Corrective Actions - designed to capture corrective/preventive information related to products, parts or processes. They are intended for tracking of internal product failures.

 

Vendor Corrective Actions - designed to capture corrective/preventive information related to vendor supplied component parts, sub-assemblies or services. They are intended for tracking of supplier related failures and can be a tool for communication with your supplier.

 

Audit Corrective Actions - designed to document corrective/preventive information related audits conducted internally, by customers or by 3rd parties (i.e. ISO compliance audit findings). They are intended to document and manage audit findings.

 

  INTEGRATED INFORMATION MANAGEMENT

EMAIL - All data records and reports and notifications can be distributed by email from inside QCBD.

FILE ATTACHMENTS - Attach digital photos, scanned images and documents from other sources. These attachments become a permanent part of any record. File attachments allow you to run a paperless management system.

POWERFUL SEARCH ENGINE - User friendly search tools help you to find records. You can sort, filter and group data quickly.

ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE - Route and approve records electronically. E-Signatures permit you to store records online and go completely paperless. Meets all the requirements for 21 CFR Part 11 (Electronic Records and Electronic Signature)

USER ASSIGNED SECURITY - Assign access to each user separately; from the lowest Read-Only privilege to highest Full Supervisor rights.

CUSTOMIZE - QCBD is highly configurable. Customize the module screens and printouts to suit the terminology and descriptions used in your business.

CONNECT REMOTELY - Access your data from anywhere.

POWERFUL REPORTING CAPABILITY - Reports allow you to select, group and filter data in meaningful ways. Reports are used for Performance Trending and Pareto Analysis to give focus to, and drive Continuous Improvement efforts.  Data can be exported to Microsoft Excel®  providing unlimited flexibility.

 

  FOCUS YOUR IMPROVEMENT EFFORTS

Use Custom Reports to generate data for Trend Performance graphs and Pareto Analysis charts to give focus to, and drive Continuous Improvement efforts. Reports can be sent as email and all data can be exported to Excel.
